Comment: An UNUSUAL and showy calcite specimen from Asturias, Spain. Two generations of calcite comprise this pair of modified scalenohedrons. The opaque cores on both crystals have a second generation overgrowth of lustrous, translucent, golden amber to tan calcite. The large crystal has a distinct interior phantom. The smaller calcite is very interestingly twinned! This fine calcite, from the land of super fluorites, was collected by Spanish collector/dealer Fernandez Beulga in July, 2008. reference on label to spanishminerals.com
