Comment: This specimen is a large coverage of bright yellow tyuyamunite on sandstone matrix. Tyuyamunite is a calcium uranium vanadate, with a remarkable brilliant color. An open file USGS report describes the mineralogy of this locality (http://pubs.er.usgs.gov/usgspubs/ofr/ofr90504). This is an excellent specimen for the locality with discernible crystallization of the tyuyamunite, and the piece sits nicely with an inclination on the yellow surface.

Minerals: Tyuyamunite (Ca(UO2)2V2O8 5-8(H2O))
