Comment: A beautiful, vividly colored decorative slab, polished on both sides, showing a large number of interconnected stalactites! This is classic material, in richness and color indicative of the top level of material that came out in the late 1980s. Note the intense color especially when backlit. I got it from an old collection and KNOW it is from that important time period for the mine. I then had the rough sliced to yield several of these slabs, the quality of which is unusually high due to both the intrinsic uniformity of color and the workmanship by Wolfgang Mueller. The piece has an intricate interconnected aspect which is different than most modern production here. Mass is 285 grams

Minerals: Rhodochrosite (MnCO3)
