Comment: Jouravskite is an ULTRA RARE hydrated sulfate found at only three localities worldwide - two are in the Kalahari Manganese Field. This vivid, lemon-yellow crust of platy, almost fibrous Jouravskite rests on a thin "board" of slatelike manganese ore matrix perhaps intermixed with selenite. What is truly amazing about this translucent Jouravskite is the thickness of the layer - it is an impressive, almost unbelievable, 1.3 cm thick in parts! Exceptional and very rich for this rare species from the famous Nchwaning Mines. ex. Charlie Key

Minerals: Jouravskite (Ca3Mn++++(SO4,CO3)2(OH)6 12(H2O))
