Comment: Size:9.79 ct Size Description:18.78 mm x 11.91 mm I have not seen many of these stones on the market. I am told that they are from the Diamantina area in Brazil. I remember seeing Pyrite included Quartz gems when I was a kid from this mine, but they looked somewhat different. Nonetheless, this stone features a few unually flatenned i.e., compressed crystals of metallic Pyrite completely frozen inside of this colorless, "Flat Emerald" cut Quartz stone. I think it is a very attractive and highly collectible "inclusion" stone. It was not the easiest gem to photograph, and truly looks better in person. I don't have many of these, and I will try to get more, but until then, do not miss out on this beautiful gem.

Minerals: Pyrite (FeS2) Quartz (SiO2)
