Comment: Old classic specimen of Cinnabar crystals on Quartz! A famous locality for Cinnabar, this is a heavily covered plate with hundreds of crystals atop small Quartz points. Only minor contacts near the edges, the color is very good with a nice luster. Mining in this locality began in 1885 and didn't end until 1994. This specimen dates to the 1960s.
