Comment: I have not seen many of these stones on the market. I am told that they are from the Diamantina area in Brazil. I remember seeing Pyrite included Quartz gems when I was a kid from this mine, but they looked somewhat different. Nonetheless, this stone features an unually flatenned i.e., compressed crystal of metallic Pyrite completely frozen inside of this colorless, gemmy "Rectangle" cut Quartz stone. I think it is a very attractive and highly collectible "inclusion" stone. It was not the easiest gem to photograph, and truly looks better in person. I don't have many of these, and I will try to get more, but until then, do not miss out on this beautiful gem.
Minerals: Pyrite (FeS2) Quartz (SiO2)
