Comment: Amazonite is known from a few places in the world in fine color crystals, i.e., Colorado, Russia and Brazil predominatly. Recently there was a find of some exciting new Amazonite in Peru. This material yielded crude crystals for the most part, but the color was very good and many of them were translucent which is rather rare in Amazonite. This particular stone is a beautiful blue-green color, translucent "Oval Cabochon" cut gem. This stone would make a great addition to a Feldspar suite, or even an Amazonite gem collection.
