Comment: Hypersthene is no longer a valid species, and is regarded as a synonym of Enstatite or Ferrosilite, but commonly regarded as a mid-way member between the two. Most Hypersthene is Ferroan-Enstatite according to Mindat. This stone is a classic Hypersthene from Germany with distinctive rich moss green and greenish white banding. The stone has a "Square Cushion Cabochon" cut. Rarely do I have Hypersthene gems in the inventory, and it is a cool reference stone for this uncommon material.

Minerals: Enstatite (Mg2Si2O6) Ferroselite (FeSe2) Hypersthene ((Mg,Fe++)2Si2O6)
