Comment: These was sold as and illustrated with a purple photo but is much more brown in person. Tourmalines are beloved by dealers and collectors for their intense colors in various shades. Mozambique has produced a good number of excellent Tourmalines recently, but richly colored material is somewhat difficult to find. Pink Tourmaline is one of the most popular colors for the Tourmaline in the world, and this is certainly one of the better pink gems from Mozambique that I have had to offer in months. This stone has such a unique "Step Checkerboard Oval" cut with a vibrant and eye-catching purplish-pink color. It is nearly eye clean, and would make a great addition to gem collection. Tourmaline is classified as a "Type 3" gemstone, as inclusions are almost always present, and accepted by dealers and collectors, so when you find a nearly clean stone like this, it's a real treat.
