Comment: An interesting specimen of Cavansite from India as the Cavansite is actually intergrown with the underlain white bladed Stilbite, and there is not as clear of a separation as one is accustomed to seeing from this well known material. The Cavansite / Stilbite mix sits atop grey Heulanite on basalt matrix. A very showy piece of the beautiful and often under appreciated material. The best Cavansite specimens in the world come from this locality, and if it wasn't for Wagholi, very few people would even recognize Cavansite as a species. I photographed the Cavansite aggregates under the microscope to better illustrate their quality.
Minerals: Cavansite (Ca(VO)Si4O10 4(H2O)) Heulandite Stilbite
