Comment: When it comes to the lapidary world, Prehnite is typically carved or polished into cabochons, because the material is rarely clean enough to warrant faceting into gemstones. This is a rarely seen faceted gem of Prehnite from the recent finds in Tanzania. This stone is a lovely soft greenish-yellow "Round Brilliant" faceted stone with slight inclusions. Prehnite is considered to be a rare gemstone, and if you collect esoteric stones, this is a cool one to pick up for your collection.

Minerals: Prehnite (Ca2Al2Si3O10(OH)2)
