Comment: Prehnite has always been a popular gem among collectors because of its lovely green color. Recently the new Prehnite discovery in Mali has produced some great cabbing and carving material. This material, when carved, has a very unique and attractive "soft" almost "velvety" appearance. This gem is really very clean for the material, and should be noted as a highly collectible stone due to the quality. This material has such a unique appearance that when you find a clean stone such as this, it''s a real treat. This is a decent size stone and considering it is relatively new, it's a great gem to fill a spot in your collection.

Minerals: Prehnite (Ca2Al2Si3O10(OH)2)
