Comment: Albite (rare US classic!) Though this area is known for minerals widely, it is not particularly known for albite specimens - it is better known for its magnetites, brookites, etc. So this is actually quite an unusual specimen and comes from a recent find by Donald Heins at this old locality. Beyond that, it is actually rather pretty - these sharp crystals have formed knobs or rosettes that give the specimen pretty 3-dimensionality. One of the larger, better pieces found.

Minerals: Albite (NaAlSi3O8)
